The wrestling team opened up their season at home with an exhibition match against Simi Valley High School on April 17. The team will have four Mission League matchups starting with Chaminade on April 28. After having two wins and two losses overall and winning one out of three in league play in the 2019 season, the Wolverines look to improve on last year’s performance by capitalizing on the schedule matches for the 2020 season.

132 pounder Gabe Glassman ‘22 said the meet was a solid start for the year.

“The meet was a little rough, we definitely have a lot to work on,” Glassman said. “Because it was our first meet I am still very hopeful for the rest of our season and think we can pull through with some quality wins. As the captain of the team, the most impressive performance came from freshman Dylan Graff ’24. I’m also his practice partner and I think he performed really well for his first high school match and secured a pin for the team.”

The team look forward to playing at home against Chaminade High School on April 28.

“We are circling that date on our calendar. It will definitely be a big rivalry meet,” said Glassman.
