The varsity boys’ basketball team finished fourth in the Torrance Tournament after losing to Fairfax 69-58 in the third-place game on Saturday.
The Wolverines went into halftime up 32-21 but could not prevent a comeback by the Lions in the second half.
Saturday’s game marked the team’s second straight loss after falling to arch-rival Loyola 80-61 in the tournament semifinals on Friday.
Forward Derick Newton ’14 and guard Mike Sheng ’14, who led the Wolverines in scoring throughout the tournament, made the All-Tournament team on Saturday.
The squad is now 2-2 on the season, and will next kick off the Palos Verdes Tournament against Centennial Compton on Dec. 12 at El Segundo High School.
