The girls and boys track and field team dominated its meet against Bishop Alemany High School on May 15 at home, beating the Knights 97-9. The squad also celebrated its graduating seniors as this was the last home game of the season. The squad has had an especially strong season as the Wolverines are undefeated and hold an overall record of 6-0. The squad is also looking to send members to the CIF-SS playoffs in the upcoming weeks.

Senior Khyra Steiner ’21 said she had a really good time competing with her teammates on senior night, especially after not being able to compete for so long.

“I really enjoyed senior night and thought it was a lot of fun,” Steiner said. “After a pretty crazy and surprising year starting off not knowing if we were even going to get a season it was great to be able to celebrate all of my fellow seniors’ hard work and accomplishments. A lot of us have been on the team together consistently for the past four years and it was nice to be able to celebrate that bonds that we have formed with each other while also having a last hoorah as our season starts winding down.”

Sprinter Chase Harleston ’21 also said he enjoyed senior night, and he said he is looking forward to playoffs with his team.

“Senior night was a super cool and nice experience to have during a weird year,” Harleston said. “Moving onto playoffs my main focus is just staying healthy as possible and finishing off my senior year in the best way possible.”

The Wolverines’ next meet is on the road at Notre Dame High School on May 24.
