Girls’ water polo falls short of third straight CIF title

The girls’ water polo team fell to Palos Verdes 12-7 in the CIF Division III semifinals, ending the team’s hopes for a third consecutive CIF title.

Palos Verdes snapped the Wolverine’s ten match postseason win streak, dating back to the CIF playoffs two years ago.

The Wolverines moved up to Divison III this year and finished 23-7 overall with a perfect league record of 10-0.

The match marked the last time center Morgan Hallock ’13 and driver Kassie Shannon ’13 play for the Wolverines. The duo had an undefeated league record of 40-0 during their four year careers.
