Stefani Feldman ’11 and Max Sheldon ’11 both won first place in their respective categories at the 23rd annual Los Angeles Music Center Spotlight Awards last night at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Feldman finished first in the classical instrumental division with her performance on the clarinet of André Messager’s “Solo de Concours.” Sheldon took home the prize in the non-classical voice category for his performance of “Monticello” from the musical “Edges: A Song Cycle.”
The event consisted of performances by the two finalists in each of the six performing arts categories that the program encompasses. Feldman and Sheldon, along with the other winners, received $5000 in scholarship money and a small Spotlight statue.
