Prefect Council launches electronic ID application

Prefect Council sent an email to all upper school students today announcing the launch of an electronic ID application that will replicate normal IDs, including photos, ID numbers, barcodes and bus stickers.

In the email, Prefect Council provided a link that takes students to the Harvard-Westlake website, where they can download the app. The first time students run the app, they are required to log in using their Harvard-Westlake credentials to gain access to their electronic IDs. Once logged in, students only need to log in again once a month.

Students can pay for items in the cafeteria with their electronic IDs by using the ID card scanners implemented last month.

Students will still be able to use their physical IDs if they prefer.
