Field hockey snags seventh win in undefeated season

The field hockey team continued its winning streak, shutting out Thousand Oaks 11-0 today. The team is 7-0 overall and has not been scored on all season.

This was the team’s first league game of the year. Thousand Oaks is a new team to the league and the Wolverines were able to control the game. Players said that the team took the opportunity to play the field differently and experiment more in game.

“We really used the game to challenge ourselves by playing different positions than we usually do and working on our skills, and as a result I think we were able to build on our abilities as a team,” team captain Alyse Tran ’18 said.

The team plays Glendora at home Thursday.

“I am extraordinarily excited for our Glendora game and for all of our upcoming games,” midfielder Sydney Pizer ’19 said. “This year our team roster is not only full of talent and determination, but our team has a unique bond with one another both on and off the field that adds a critical aspect to our team dynamic.”

Field Hockey remains undefeated with an 11-0 win over Thousand Oaks.
