Harvard-Westlake hosted the second annual Model United Nations conference on Oct. 7. Club vice-president Nuriel Moghavem â07 was appointed as the secretary general of the conference.
All the beginner delegates were in their own committee in which they were not required to go through most formalities of a usual conference. The beginner committee, World Health Organization, was headed by club president Alex Ahn â07 and secretary Rebecca Title â08.
Moghavem and Matthew Edwards â08 headed the more experienced committee, Security Council.
At the end of the conference, awards were given for each committee. The committee heads chose persons to win gavel, outstanding and commendations. The gavel winners in World Health Organization and Security Council respectively were Zach Witten â08 and Kurt Sibert â07.
