Advancement associate moonlights as singer

December 13, 2006

Advancement Associate Eli Goldsmith, a solo singer-songwriter, performed at the nightclub Aura in Studio City Nov. 29 and at The Hotel Café Nov. 15. Most of the venues he plays at are establishments for people 21-years old or older, but his show at Aura was for all-ages, and several middle school students attended. Career highlights for him include opening for Ghostface Killah and Rooney last spring.

The Upper School is mandating the use of phone caddies in the classroom for the fourth quarter to prevent further distractions from cellphones following an increase in Honor Board cases related to phone usage. The use of earbuds and headphones in the classroom will also be strictly prohibited.
