Article fails to properly describe teacher’s tenure

As the Head of Middle School I want to respond to the article on the 7th grade dean reshuffle at the Middle School.  I am concerned about the inequity in the article, especially when it came to information about Julie Harris.

Julie Harris has been at the Middle School for six years.  Many of her students may remember her as Ms. Hollrah, a name she changed after her recent marriage to Clint Harris.

During her time at the school she has been one of the most respected members of our faculty and staff.  Julie taught Spanish to 7th and 8th graders, planned seventh grade retreat, taught Human Development and continues to run Student Council while serving as 7th grade dean.

Julie has been a role model to many of our students and her office is often packed with kids.

Leaving was a very hard decision for Julie.  She and her husband are delighted about the prospect of beginning their family and she will be greatly missed. I hope she stays in touch with the school.
