First year returns cut due to market corrections

The Chronicle investment program’s portfolio, consisting of Starbucks and Wilder Clean Energy ETF, has made a 36 percent return over its first year.

The portfolio started with a. balance of $5,000 to invest in moral business endeavors. Starbucks started at $76.48 per share and Wilder Clean Energy started at $27.34 per share when we purchased the shares in the early spring of 2019. Since then, Starbucks has returned quarterly dividends ranging from $0.36 to $0.41. Wilder Clean Energy also has quarterly dividends of $0.175.
