Two new coordinators to aid upper school deans

Camille da Santos and Ryan Wilson have replaced Maureen Altman and are now the Upper School Dean Coordinators. Together, da Santos and Wilson will work with students, teachers and staff on scheduling and communicate with the deans on a daily basis. They will send out college applications and all dean correspondences, coordinate college representative visits, supervise student workers and plan events. The duo will also assist in the planning of the upper campus summer school.

Da Santos tutored middle school students when she was a student at Loyola Marymount University and later worked as a teaching assistant to pre-kindergartners at Sinai Akiba Academy.
“[I am] happy to be working with high school kids,” da Santos said.

Wilson was a seventh and eighth grade English teacher at John Adams Middle School before coming to Harvard-Westlake in December 2005 to be a clerical assistant. He will be an adviser of the literary magazine Stonecutters again this year.

Along with his new job, Wilson has a child on the way, and believes this will be the “most exciting year of [his] life.”
