Students in the Model United Nations club participated in a conference at UCLA on Nov. 8 and 9, and seven more students attended a conference at Tustin High School on the weekend of Nov. 22 and 23.
Jason Byun â09 won a gavel, equivalent to a first place finish, for the “Rise of Robespierre” crisis simulation committee at the UCLA conference.
The team as a whole won the Best Small Delegation award.
Club president Cathi Choi â09 is hopeful for the upcoming conferences despite the cancellation of the Capistrano Valley and Istanbul, Turkey conferences, she said.
