Student-run radio station draws increased number of DJs

By Allison Hamburger

More than 30 students will DJ this year for student-run radio station KHWS, which premiered on Oct. 3 with three one-hour sets.

The online station has added two additional nights this year, broadcasting Sunday through Thursday evenings from 5 until midnight. The founders, Jamie Feiler ’12, Jackson Hudgins ’12, Nora Kroopf ’12 and Sam Wolk ’13, invited students to apply to become a DJ in September. After receiving more than 30 submissions, they decided to add Sunday and Monday to their schedule to accommodate all the DJs.
