Boys’ soccer defeats Chaminade

By Charlton Azuoma

The boys soccer team defeated Mission League opponent Chaminade High School last night on the road by a score of 2-1.

The game opened with a goal with forward Ty Gilhuly ’13

After halftime the Eagles retalliated with a goal of their own, knotting the score at 1-1 with a almost a whole 2nd half to play.

With ten minutes left in the game Matthew Bailey ’13 crossed the ball to Patrick Angelo ’14 who was able to finish the goal and send the Wolverines home with their 3rd straight league victory.

“Chaminade played hard, and their forwards were good, but we outplayed them,” defender Gavin Allman ’12 said.

The Wolverines look forward to their next game against rival Loyola Cubs on the road with an improved record of 11-1-2.
