Baseball falls to Valencia in Easton Tournament

Top-ranked left-handed pitcher Max Fried ’12 gave up eight runs and 10 hits in three and a third innings in the baseball team’s loss to Valencia in the finals of the Easton Tournament Saturday.

The Wolverines now stand at 4-1 on the season and subsequently dropped from No. 1 to No. 2 on the Los Angeles Times’ rankings, behind Mater Dei.

Valencia outplayed the Wolverines 11-4. 

Valencia’s second baseman A.J. Balta had four hits and six RBI’s and third baseman Trey Williams hit a home run.
