Boys’ volleyball beats Crespi, improves in league standings

By Luke Holthouse

Five sets were needed to decide Tuesday’s Mission League matchup between the boys’ volleyball team and Crespi. Ultimately, the Wolverines pulled away with the win by a score of 21-25, 25-22, 24-26, 25-22, 15-12.

The win improves the Wolverines to 6-4 on the season in league play and 14-9 overall. If the Wolverines can win their remaining two league games, at Alemany on Thursday and against Notre Dame on Friday, the Wolverines expect to secure second place in league. Chase Klein ’13 said before the game that finishing second in league, behind only undefeated Loyola, would help the team receive a high seeding in playoffs.
