Alumna joins cast of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

Jessica Capshaw ’94 has been asked to remain a recurring character on the television show “Grey’s Anatomy” with the possibility of returning as a series regular in season six. Capshaw plays Dr. Arizona Robbins, a pediatric surgeon who is a possible love interest for series regular Dr. Callie Torres, played by Sara Ramirez.


Capshaw is best known for her role as attorney Jamie Stringer on the ABC legal drama “The Practice.” She has also appeared on “The L Word,” “Bones,” and had a lead role in “Valentine,” a horror film which hit theaters in Feb. 2001.
