A bake sale May 15 raised $500 to buy hygiene kits including items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste and soap for the homeless youth in Los Angeles.
Addison Abdo ’14, Sam Hummel ’14, Patrick Angelo ’14 and Nima Shamtoub ’14 organized the name-your-own-price sale.
“Hygiene kits are a really simple thing that can actually make a big difference for many kids who are having trouble with so many other things that they barely have time to care about simple things like hygiene,” Shamtoub said.
