Baseball beats Alemany, wins 5th straight

In the opening game of their series against the Alemany Warriors, the Wolverines squeaked by behind Jack Flaherty’s ’14 11 strikeouts to win 2-1 at O’Malley Family Field.

Ezra Steinberg ’15 hit an RBI double and Cameron Deere ’16 hit a sacrifice fly, both in the third inning, to give the Wolverines their only two runs of the game.

The win puts the Wolverines record at 17-4-1 with a 5-1-1 league mark and keeps them on pace with the Loyola Cubs for first place in Mission League.  The team will finish their series against Alemany with an away game at May 2.
