    Big A vs. HF

Hey Harvard-Westlakers. Gossip Girl here. Your one and only source for all the dish on campus. What’s #1 on my homepage? Looks like someone at HW decided to take a tip from Gossip Girl here and assume an online alter-ego. Sources tell me it was Isaac Galileo and Harvard Fiesta. Seems like things between the students and the administration here at HW are getting a little testy, but who will end up on the wrong side of the fight?

Luckily, Gossip Girl likes nothing better than a catfight.

Now Gossip Girl has no problem with a little subversion, that’s what keeps things interesting, nor do I have a problem with someone stealing my idea of a hidden identity online, but the way in which this whole thing was done just gave the administration more fuel. Harvard Fiesta attempted to not only preemptively try to outwit the administration who was supposedly cracking down on parties with alcohol, but also decided to do it in a way that also violated the new Ed Tech rule about appropriate internet use.

If HF wanted to speak out against what he or she obviously thought were Machiavellian policies, maybe he or she shouldn’t have done it in a way that gave the big A more to prove its point with.
I love a little protest. But, you have to know who you are dealing with. If you are dealing with other kids who want to stop HW parties then Harvard Fiesta might be a pretty good way to accomplish that, but the administration is never going to back down if it just looks like students are out to plan more of what they dislike.

Harvard Fiesta and anyone else who was involved (please, even Gossip Girl doesn’t work alone) acted a little too hastily, didn’t they? Looks like the big bad A wasn’t out to get them that much after all.
The administration seems to have gone back to their old policy regarding after party, assuming no responsibility for the night’s actions.

There might not have been such a fuss if a bunch of people on Facebook didn’t decide to make it one.

But who am I? That’s one secret I’ll never tell.

    You know you love me.

    Xoxo.
