Extending its winning streak to 11 games, the boys’ basketball team defeated Crespi 56-47 on Monday, maintaining its undefeated Mission League record.
Forward Josh Hearlihy ’12 led the Wolverines in scoring with 16 as they improved to 3-0 in league. Colorado-bound Damiene Cain ’11 and shooting guard Jordan Butler ’11 each contributed 11 points.
The Wolverines started out strong and held Crespi to only 16 points at the half. After a flurry of Harvard-Westlake turnovers at the end of the third quarter, Crespi trailed 44-35 with one quarter to go.
Harvard-Westlake maintained its lead in the fourth quarter, and the game ended 56-47.
Crespi recently defeated Mission League rival Loyola 76-72. The Wolverines are set to host Chaminade on Wednesday and Loyola on Friday.
