CIF Playoff update


Track and field:

Amy Weissenbach ’12 and Cami Chapus ’12 qualified for the girls 1600-meter and 800-meter at CIF Finals this Saturday, May 19. Alex Florent ’15 qualified for the girls high jump, Ben Gaylord ’13 qualified for boys pole vaulting, Aaron de Toledo qualified for the boys 1600 as well as the 3200, Garrett Robinson ’15 qualified for the boys 400, David Manahan ’14 qualified for the boys 800, Shea Copeland ’15 qualified for the girls 200 and Chapus additionally qualified for the 3200. Both the boys and girls 4×400 teams also qualified.

Tennis:

After defeating Simi Valley and Santa Margarita last week in the first two rounds, the Wolverines defeated Northwood in the quarterfinals of Div. I playoffs on Tuesday. They take on Corona Del Mar next Tuesday. 

Swimming:

Three school records were set at CIF Finals last weekend. The 200-meter medley relay team finished 8th with a time of 1:36.13, the 200 free relay team did not place with a time of 1:27.17, Patrick Kang finished 4th in the 100 breaststroke at 57.41.
