Girls’ volleyball’s Nicole Elattrache ’14 and boys’ water polo’s Warren Snyder ’14 were selected as the October Student-Athletes of the Month by the Student Athlete Advisory Committee Oct. 25.
Both seniors have served as veteran leaders for their respective teams, which will both aim for a high seed as they approach CIF Playoffs. Elattrache, a girls’ volleyball captain who committed to play at Duke University earlier this month, has helped lead team to a 15-9 record on the year thus far, with two of the team’s wins coming against defending State Champion Marymount.
Snyder has been one of water polo’s main scoring threats throughout this season and has helped the Wolverines become one of the top teams in the state, with the team’s only three losses on the season coming at the hands of top-ranked Mater Dei. Snyder and the Wolverines will look to continue their flawless streak against all other teams as they proceed deeper into league competition, currently at 18-3 on the season.
