    Fashion show to aid charity

The student-run “Fashion for Action” fashion show will feature 25 student models and donated designer clothes on April 11 in Taper gymnasium. Co-chairs Stephanie Deutsch ‘08 and Sabrine Bilger ‘08 organized the event with help from David Alagem ’08.

Vera Wang, BCBG Max Azria, and Dolce and Gabbana are among a growing list of designers who have given clothes for the fashion show, and clothes worn by the models will be for sale at discount prices at a boutique set up on the driveway outside Munger for the night.

The 25 models are students who come from grades 7 through 12. Money raised from the event will be donated to the Council of Fashion Designers of America/ Vogue AIDS Initiative. Last year’s show hosted 640 people, a student band, and raised around $20,000. Deutsch expects 800 to 1,000 people to attend this year and is planning for a professional band to play.
