Field hockey non-league winning streak ends at 4 after loss

Following shutout wins over Westminister and Marina, the varsity field hockey team was shut out by Huntington Beach in a 2-0 defeat on Thursday, Sept. 20.

The Wolverines beat Westminister 3-0 on Friday, Sept. 14 and Marina 4-0 on Tuesday, Sept. 18 before the loss to Huntington Beach. They had beaten Edison and Fountain Valley earlier in the season to establish the four game-winning streak.

The Wolverines stand 7-2-1 as they begin league play on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Louisville. The Wolverines finished 6-2 last year in the Mission League, falling short of a league championship.
