Field hockey beat Westlake 3-0 today, their 16th win in an undefeated season.

Tonight was also the team’s senior night. Team captain Alyse Tran ’18 said the team enjoyed the accompanying festivities.

“This morning we were dressed up as oompa loompas which was hilarious and fun to do,” Tran said. “I am sure the underclassmen had fun planning together and we all had a blast doing it. it. We had really sweet introductions before the game from the underclassmen, and after each one they gave us roses.”

This is the team’s second win against Westlake, winning 3-0 earlier in season.

Left midfielder Isabella Huang ’19 said the night helped the team bond.

“The seniors loved senior day today and it was definitely one of the most memorable days we’ve all had together and we all bonded over this,” Huang said. “I think it will definitely be hard to top next year.”

Despite the win and festivities, Tran mentioned that the day was not all happy.

“Overall it was a bittersweet, sentimental day that was filled with fun activities and time to bond together,” Tran said.
