Stand-out baseball pitcher Lucas Giolito ’12 committed verbally to UCLA on Monday, Aug. 30. Giolito went to UCLA for his second visit and met with the UCLA Coach John Savage.
UCLA was the runner up in the College World Series last year, only falling short to South Carolina.
Over the summer, Giolito pitched in the Area Code Tournament, a very selective tournament featuring some of the top players in the state. Giolito was one of the youngest on his team and pitched in multiple games.
