Girls’ tennis dominates opponent in sweep

The girls’ tennis team swept Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, not losing a single match out of the total 18. This is the girls’ second sweep of the season, coming after another 18-0 win over Immaculate Heart less than a month ago.

With the win, the squad advances to an overall record of 5-2 and a perfect league record of 4-0.

After losing the first two matches, the girls have bounced back to win the last four matches in a row.

This win will help further develop a winning mindset for the team.

“I think that even though matches like the one yesterday are easy for us, we feel really confident and happy after wins like that,” Lara Mikhail ’17 said. “I think this positive attitude is really key going into some harder matches against schools like Notre Dame and Marlborough.”

The squad will take on Immaculate Heart for the second time this season Oct. 5.
