The girls’ varsity volleyball team will face Chino Hills in the quarterfinals of CIF Playoffs Saturday, Nov. 16 after sweeping Redlands East Valley 3-0 Thursday.
The Wolverines’ second round victory over Redlands East Valley came in three closely contested sets with scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-21. Before heading on the road for the second round matchup, the team defeated El Toro 3-0 at home Nov. 12.
The Wolverines will return to Taper Gymnasium Saturday to face the Huskies in a clash of number-one ranked teams. The Wolverines are the one seed coming out of the Mission League after finishing 24-9 with a 9-1 league record, while Chino Hills is the top-ranked team in the Sierra League.
