The girls’ water polo team defeated Claremont 12-11 in their home opener match this afternoon, continuing their strong season.

The team played a heated match against the Wolfpack for their second non-tournament game of the season.

After a competitive start, the Wolverines battled with Claremont for the lead throughout the match. With the game tied at 11 in the final minutes, the girls scored a goal and took the lead to win.

The game occurred after their 7-6 loss to Arroyo Grande and 10-8 loss against Crescenta Valley in the Arroyo Grande Tournament Jan 6. The girls are otherwise undefeated.

The team hopes to continue to come back from those losses in their first league game versus Alemany Jan 11 at home.
