The Junior State of America club’s Spring State conference will take place at the LAX Hilton April 10-12.
Students will debate topics ranging from the death penalty to education reform to normalizing relations with Cuba.
“The conference is going to be terrific, and I’m looking forward to debating about drone strikes,” chapter co-president Zoe Dutton ’15 said. “It’s bittersweet though, since this will be the final JSA event of my Harvard-Westlake career.”
Conventions are organized by students from all over Southern California. Leaders plan conferences, conventions and discussions, while other students participate as audience members that vote for awards in the debate.
