First baseman Joe Corrigan ’13 committed to play baseball at USC on Saturday.
“USC stood out because of the great academics along with a historied baseball program,” Corrigan said.
The Trojans have won twelve national baseball championships, their most recent coming in 1998.
Corrigan is the second member of the junior class to commit. His teammate, Arden Pabst ’13 committed to Georgia Tech in October.
“When schools offer scholarships, they expect the athlete to give them an answer soon, so that they know if they will have that scholarship to give to someone else,” Corrigan said. “Since USC was everything that I was looking for, there was no need to wait once the offer was out.”
