More than 1,120 students joined for the Harvard-Westlake Summer Program, the largest enrollment since the program began in 1991. Registration is still open, and the capacity may continue to grow.

Summer Program registration is not restricted to Harvard-Westlake students, which may contribute to the increasing enrollment, program coordinator Camille de Santos said.

“More and more so I think we are reaching out to more kids,” she said.

The program offers academic courses at both Harvard-Westlake campuses, arts classes at both campuses, and the Gold Medal Sports Camp.

The visual arts classes offered at the Middle School vary from mixed media to photography, whereas the performing arts department offers everything from drama to choral music. At the Upper School, arts courses range from film to dance to graphic novel design. 

The Gold Medal Sports camp is for people of all skill levels, providing baseball to water polo to the camp’s newest edition, lacrosse.
