The Middle School will perform “Midsummer/Jersey,” a modern version of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” as the fall theatrical production Nov. 15, 16 and 17.
“It’s basically a mashup of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and ‘Jersey Shore,’” director Jim Doughan said. “It shows that nothing has changed in 450 years.”
Written by playwright Ken Ludwig, the play “makes the play more accessible to modern audiences but still maintains the integrity” of Shakespeare’s words, Doughan said.
