Runners place at Mt. SAC Invitational

In their final competition of the regular season, the girls’ varsity cross country team placed seventh overall out of 18 teams as the boys took ninth out of 22 teams at the annual Mount San Antonio College Invitational.

Out of 118 runners, Trishta Dordi ’15 finished tenth individually in the Division IV girls’ sweepstakes race with a time of 19:06. Monica Nimmagadda ’14 was the second Wolverine to cross the finish line, placing 41st with a time of 20:19.

On the boys’ side, David Manahan ’14 took 15th out of 140 runners with a time of 16:14 in the Division IV boys’ sweepstakes race. Ben Weissenbach ’15 followed in 32nd place with a time of 16:39.

The cross country teams will next head into the postseason, beginning with Mission League Finals at Woodley Park on Nov. 1, followed by CIF Preliminaries on Nov. 10 and, if they qualify, CIF Finals on Nov. 17. After CIF Finals, if they qualify, runners will compete at State Finals on Nov. 24 at Woodward Park in Arcadia.
