Seven new sophomores were recently admitted to next year’s 10th grade class, in addition to 15 admitted earlier.
“We have a very large 12th grade class graduating, and the ninth grade class is smaller than usual, so we had a goal of admitting more 10th graders,” Director of Admission Elizabeth Gregory said. “We didn’t want to admit too many earlier because we weren’t really sure at that time how many of our current upper school kids would be leaving and how many of our current ninth graders.”
The Office of Admission admits new 10th graders every year because there is more room at the upper school.
