Softball blows past FSHA in final home game

The softball team beat Flintridge Sacred Heart 10-0 Monday on Senior Night at Los Angeles Valley College.

Flintridge was forced to forfeit the game after the fifth inning due to the mercy rule. Lauren Li ’12 pitched a no-hitter and had six strikeouts. Li also had a strong performance at the plate, combining with shortstop Chloe Pendergast ’13 for five RBIs and a perfect batting average.

The Wolverines compiled 12 hits for a team batting average of .500.

The squad’s two seniors, Emilia Louy ’11 and Jennifer Plotkin ’11, started as designated hitter and in right field.

The Wolverines will play their final game of the regular season tomorrow at Alemany, Earlier in the season, the team lost to Alemany 3-1.
