    South Bay Video festival

    Six student films won awards at the annual South Bay Video Festival. Films chosen include “Martian High School Chronicles” for best opening sequence, “Life Is a Highway” for direction, “Hatian Fight Song,” for the visual effects award, “Sunny Road” for best work in music video and for cinematography, “The Artist Broken,” for the Jury Prize for Best Work in Fiction and “Gun Violence Hunger” for best public service announcement. The films were shown May 23 at Mira Costa High School.
