Students donate food, toys in holiday drives

The upper school community donated in record numbers to the Thanksgiving food drive this year and gave disabled children toys for the holidays.

The Community Council’s food drive collected 16 bins of non-perishable food items that were distributed to those in need by the Westside food bank. A three-way tie between the dean groups of Canh Oxelson, Rose-Ellen Racanelli and Sharon Cuseo were called and pizza parties for their efforts in bringing the most items will be held during dean group meetings after winter break.

Several students who work with the Camp Harmony Leadership and Mentoring program organized a toy drive for homeless and impoverished children in conjunction with the United in Harmony holiday party. The drive collected over 100 new toys for children in Los Angeles.
