Nearly 150 members of the school community volunteered at Operation Gratitude by writing letters to troop and making care packages and paracord bracelets Nov. 17.

The HW Parents Community Service program organized the event in an effort to bring students from both campuses and their families together to help out at this month’s Assembly Day at Operation Gratitude.

Noah Glazer ’23 handwrote holiday letters with friends during the event.

“It’s really nice seeing a lot of people come together to help people in need, especially in other countries,” Glazer said. “We really respect them, that’s why we are here. We want to help them.”

HW Parent Association President Kairavi Daum (Maddy ’18, Alex ’20, Isabella ’23) said she was extremely pleased with the day’s outcome.

“This event has been fantastic,” Daum said. “I personally have taken photos of so many of the families here. They are excited, enthusiastic and so happy to be participating with their children.”
