Dartmouth striker David Moran ’92 is named the Ivy League’s soccer freshman of the year, becoming the first Wolverine alum to receive this honor. As a junior at Harvard-Westlake, Moran was named an All-American, helped take the team to the CIF small-school championship, and led the track team to the CIF Division IA title. As a senior, Moran received the Schumacher Award, given to the senior who contributes the most to Wolverine athletics. In Moran’s freshman year, he helped Dartmouth to the Ivy League title and scored the only goal in the Big Green’s upset of no. 6 St. John’s in the 1992 NCAA soccer tournament.
