UC deadline stays same this year despite glitches

On Nov. 30, the University of California online application system repeatedly froze due to the large influx of applications, but the deadline was not extended as it was last year. Traffic at the end of the application period caused slowdowns, but they were not significant, and everyone who needed to file an application filed an application UC spokesman Ricardo Vasquez said.
