Moving up from Division III to Division I-A proved no challenge for the Wolverine girlsâ volleyball team as they finished the regular season with a record of 23-4.
The moment the playoff brackets were released it seemed that a looming match up with rival Marymount in the semifinals was the only thing that stood between the Wolverines and becoming the second sport in school history to win a Division I title.
After three easy victories for the number one seeded Sailors and the fourth seeded Wolverines, the stage was set for the match up both teams had been waiting for.
The Wolverines also barely missed out on a return to the state playoffs as they were the last team left out of the Division III state playoffs.
