Water polo remains undefeated

By Michael Aronson

Boys’ water polo captured its second straight victory of the season with a 12-5 win against Ventura High School Wednesday.

Senior leaders Brian Graziano ’12, Langdon Froomer ’12 and Bradley Schine ’12 all had goals in the game which improved the Wolverine’s overall record to 2-0.

Freshman newcomers Morio Saito ’15 and Johnny Hooper ’15 also scored with four goals between the two of them in the victory.

Saito had a hat trick in his second game on the varsity team, which he feels gives confidence heading into this weekend’s tournament and the rest of the season.

“It feels great to start off the season with two wins,” Saito said. “We are in good hands under coach Flacks (’06).”

The win prolongs the team’s undefeated record under Flacks who is in his first season in the coaching position.

The boys head to Santa Barbara this Friday and Saturday for a tournament hosted by St. Francis High School, which will be followed next week with a game against La Canada High School.
