Water polo wins league game

The boys’ water polo team defeated Alemany 24-1 on Wednesday afternoon in the team’s fourth league game of the season.

Alemany is usually a much weaker team than the Wolverines, who defeated them last year by a score of 22-2. Despite the inferior opponent, players said that games against weaker teams in the league provide a time to practice for more difficult matchups.

Attacker Alex Bucur ’19 attributed the win to the team’s ability to rely on basic fundamentals in a lower-risk setting.

The Wolverines will play their next game at Santa Margarita on Saturday afternoon.
