    Wolverine Scoreboard: Friday, March 4

    Boys’ Volleyball

    Although the boys’ volleyball team was able to keep its match very close, it lost in straight sets, 21-25, 22-25, 22-25, at Oaks Christian. The Wolverines were not at full strength, with Spencer Eichler ’11 out with a shoulder injury, Charlie Porter ’12 not yet in volleyball form after soccer season, and Damiene Cain ’11 and David Burton ’11 still in basketball season.

    The loss brings the team’s overall record to 0-3 after losses to Santa Barbara and Thousand Oaks. The Wolverines will play their first league match against St. Francis on Tuesday.

    Baseball

    In its first game of the season, the baseball team shut out Calabasas 1-0. Starting pitcher Lucas Giolito ’12 threw only 83 pitches in his three-hit complete game. Arden Pabst ’13 scored the only Wolverine run on a balk in the 4th inning.

    The team’s next game is Saturday at Camarillo.
