Wolverines advance behind Flaherty’s ’14 no-hitter

Jack Flaherty ’14 threw a no-hitter in the Wolverines opening CIF playoff game against JW North on May 23.  The Wolverines beat JW North 5-0 behind 10 strikeouts from Flaherty and strong defense behind him, including a diving catch by Jackson Grayson ’15 to record the last out of the game.

Flaherty walked the first batter of the game, but after that was perfect and tossed 10 strikeouts as he ran through the JW North lineup.  Brian Ginsberg ’14 started the scoring for the Wolverines with two outs in the third inning by bunting in Grayson from third.

The Wolverines next play on May 27 in the second round of CIF play.
