Yearbook staffers participate in summer workshop

Students on the yearbook, Vox Populi, attended mandatory workshops at the Ahmanson Theater at the Upper School on Aug 27 and the Middle School Library on Aug 28. The yearbook staff members listened to guest speaker Judi Coolidge, an employee of Taylor Publishing Corporation in Ohio, who spoke about writing, yearbook design, and theme development.

In addition to this mandatory workshop, yearbook adviser Jennifer Bladen took students to a five-day yearbook workshop, Ignite Yearbook University, at Pepperdine University in late July and two students, Justin Cohen (‘11) and Ali Nadel (‘11) went to Taylor Yearbook Workshop at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa for a yearbook seminar.

“This year’s theme is limitless, which we are representing with a giant infinity symbol. The theme comes from the idea that since there will always be unlimited things for them to do, students can never outgrow Harvard-Westlake,” said Bladen.
