The football team continued a promising start to their belated season, claiming a dominant victory over Salesian High School in their second game March 19. The Wolverines won 48-29, and they remain undefeated with two wins. Although the Salesian Mustangs fought hard to keep the game close, in the second half, the Wolverines pulled ahead for a comfortable win.

Kai Faucher ’23, defensive end and offensive tackle, believes that the Wolverines were in control of the game from the kickoff.

“We played like we knew we could. When you put so much work in studying up on another team and repping it out in practice, it feels so rewarding to come up with a decisive win,” Faucher said.

Faucher also attributes the win to the cohesiveness and determination of the team.

“We might not be the biggest or the fastest, but we know that it takes all eleven to make a play. We find strength in each other,” Faucher said.

The Wolverines will play their next game at home March 26, when they hope to maintain their momentum against El Camino Real High School.
